▸Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. Face detection, background removal, and composition all run locally in your browser — your original photo never leaves your device. The AI models are downloaded once and cached by the browser.
Closing or refreshing the page discards your photo. We never see or store it.
▸The download fails or the button does nothing. What now?
Check whether your browser blocked the automatic download (icon at the right of the address bar → "Always allow downloads from idphotogen.com").
Ad-blockers and privacy extensions (uBlock, Brave Shields, etc.) can interfere with the app — add this site to their allowlist.

▸My photo was rejected. Can I get a refund?
Acceptance is ultimately decided by the issuing authority, and photo quality (lighting, expression, sharpness) matters too. Follow the shooting guide and double-check the size chart first.
If the downloaded file itself has a technical problem (corrupted, won't download, wrong dimensions for the selected spec), we refund in full after verification. Rejections caused by the original photo's quality are handled case by case — just contact us.
▸Why is the first load slow, or the model fails to load?
First use downloads the AI models from this site: ~550KB for face detection and ~176MB for background removal, which can take 30+ seconds depending on your connection. They're cached afterwards, so later runs start almost instantly.
If loading always fails, a corporate or campus firewall is probably blocking the large model file — try a different network (e.g., a phone hotspot).
▸Where can I find photo size requirements for each document?
